CRAFTSMAN® fiberglass sledgehammers (Models listed below)

Hazard: The head of the sledgehammers can loosen prematurely and detach unexpectedly during use, posing an impact injury hazard to the user.

Description: This recall involves CRAFTSMAN® Fiberglass Sledgehammers with model numbers listed below. The recalled sledgehammers weigh between 2 and 12 pounds and range between 14” and 36” in length and are red and black. The model numbers are marked on the hammer head.

If you own any of the affected units STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY and follow these instructions to obtain a refund check:

  1. Write “RECALLED” on your sledgehammer handle with a permanent marker and put a note next to it where your email address and date of the request are visible. Take a picture and upload it using the form enabled below.
  2. Stop using immediately and dispose of it in the trash after you have received our email confirming that the refund has been processed, approximately 3 days after submitting the request.
  3. Once your request has been reviewed, we will send you a refund check within the next 4 to 6 weeks.
